Jhppiengo, is an affiliate of johns Hopkins University, is an international NGO supporting health programs to improve the health of women and their families. in Kenya Jhpiengo works very closely and in collaboration with both the ministry of medical services and the ministry of public health and sanitation in the areas of HIV, Malaria, TB, child health, newborns and maternal. It also includes reproductive health and families planning. We are currently seeking to recruit a program officer. He or she should be a team player, dedicated, highly motivated and willing to working in a high pressured environment. Create organizational skills required and can multi task 
Responsibilities
  • Lead advocating for the use of information communication and technology interventions in a health system programming
  • Be able to establish and maintain productive relationship with key stakeholders, including relevant departments’ heads and staffs, NGO’s and ICT companies and government officials
  • Serve as the main source or the focal point for all ICT technologies in program activities
  • Be at the for front by leading the team on planning, implementation, design or evaluation of ICT program activities
  • Able to contribute to the program budget work plan and reporting annually
  • Carry out and disseminate project success among the project team partners
  • Identify opportunities to partner with other organizations to facilitate the use of electronic communication s and ICT in program activities
  • Work with others so as to monitor and evaluate projects ICT activities

Requirements and educational qualifications

Should have a university degree in ICT or public health or even in a related field
Excellent computer skills to be able to support health systems and developments
Should have experience in developing, design, implementing and evaluating technology assisted projects
Understanding of the constrains and benefits of different technologies
Abilities to coordinated program activities with governmental, non governmental and private sector partners
Excellent skills and proactive in keeping up to date with technologies and technological standards
