Higher Education loans Board is a national state corporation whose mandate is to source for funds and provide loans, bursaries and scholarships to Kenyan students perusing higher education in recognized Kenyan institutions
We are looking for a person who will be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills, result driven and can manage time well to be our Information communication and technology ( ICT) Manager so as we can continue to support and transform the lives of Kenyan through the provision of loans.
Roles to play by
- Will report to the chief executive officer and will lead a team of dedicated and innovative ICT professionals
- Implement the board ICT policy
- Ensure disaster and recovery management
- Develop new databases and maintain the existing ones
- Assure functionality of all operating systems, network and application software
- Be on the front line and drive a culture of imitativeness in seeking ICT solutions to organizational challenges
- Be an analytical thinker, monitor and ensure implementation of ICT strategies to enhance service delivery
- Customize ICT systems into interactive infrastructure which will provide access to data and information
Academic qualifications
- A degree in computer science, information Technology or an equivalent
- Certification from relevant professional bodies
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- 6 years experience in a similar field
- Proficiency in leading edge computer programming and practical work knowledge
- Ability to convert ideas into solutions
- An added advantage to those with a post graduate degree in ICT
