Business Support Manager


The Kenya programme, with an annual turn over of around Euro 17million is a very complex programme that incorporates rapid and slow onset emergencies as well as long term development and policy work. Oxfam Kenya works on multitude of activities that support holistic approach of humanitarian, development and advocacy so that long term changes can happen. Oxfam Kenya works in the north, principally in Turkana, Wajir and Dadaab, Nairobi informal settlement and on national level advocacy and coordination issues in multi stakeholders.
Currently Oxfam is looking for a highly motivated, innovative and well equipped individual to work as a business support manager based in Nairobi.
Responsibilities
  • The ideal person will provide overall management advisory roles on all aspects of the programme, including managing and contributing to the work of Human Resource manager, carry out logistics and over all administration and fundraising teams.
  • Over see the programme of Kenya office to make sure the system run in an effective way and in a well coordinated manner.
  • Work hand in hand with regional centre of information technology team, maintain overview of communication requirements and manage all the implementation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely input into production of finance report to donors as well as tracking all reports on multi donor funded programmes
  • Make sure that the programme is cost effective, efficient and complies with all organizational standards
  • Train staffs and partners in the area of logistics and administration, finance and Human Resource
  • Be part of the senior management team
Qualifications 


  • Working experience of programme service management (human resource, capital assets, finance, logistics and information management) in emergency and development context in an international settings
  • An excellent oral and written communication skills in English is essential
  • A quick decision maker, excellent management skills, assertive communicator and work well with minimum supervision
  • Interpersonal skills across all cultural backgrounds meaning diversity is required

Salary  Euro 21,990 – 28,821 per annum plus other benefits
