APA insurance is among the leading insurance company in East Africa region. We seek to recruit a self motivated deputy head of claims in to our general divisions
The ideal candidate will work closely with senior management in planning and execution of efficient performance of the claims departments.
Tasks
- Handle all claims settlements
- Review all the general claims service and standards, procedures
- Negotiate for favorable claim settlements
- Pursue recoveries and follow till the end
- Manage and vetting of an efficient and effective panel of service providers
- Prepare reports on business performance at the same time analyze them for management use
- Ensure all the claims fall under the scope of insurance policy
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in commerce or law
- ACII or FCII qualifications
- 6 years experience at a senior level in a relevant position
- Be a team player and can drive a diverse team
- Excellent knowledge of insurance practices and products
- Be of high integrity
- Work in a high pressured environment and engage at a high executive level
- Excellent communication analytical and negotiation skills
- Commercial instinct and drive
- A problem solver
