Contract duration: three years
Job purpose: to safeguard the interests of the Kenya Airport Authority during the project implementation by ensuring all contacts are implemented as provided
Responsibilities
- Vets deign and vet all tender documents, to ensure that KAA interests are included and secured within the contract
- Carry out all claims for additional payment or extension of time
- Vet all claims for additional payments or extension of time
- Carry out all the examination of contracts bonds, guarantees and insurance to ensure that comply with the requirement of the contract.
- Liaison with the financiers so that all the documents are submitted for approval
- Examine all tender documents and contracts for clarity and adequacy in addressing the authority interests
- Advise on all contract implementation to avoid contractual claims or ensure timely resolutions in case any arises
Qualifications and experience
- University degree in building economics (not land economics please note)
- Registered with BORAQ
- 8 years experience, three of which must have been on contact management
- Leadership skills
- Computer literate
