ICT Infrastructure manager Nzoia sugar

ICT Infrastructure manager Nzoia sugar

Will be reporting to the head of ICT department. Will be responsible for the design, implementation and management of business support IT infrastructure
Qualifications
  • BSC computer science
  • Have a networking certificate- cisco /MCSE Microsoft/ Novell
  • IT  service management – ITIL certificate
Key responsibilities.
  • Give high level of expertise in networking terminology thus including WAN/hard ware Hubs, bridges and all routers.    
  • Make sure there is proper back up and management of databases .
  • Will be responsible for administering and managing databases thus including Oracle and SQL databases.
  • Develop and promulgate process and procedures for the IT services and operations.
  • Make sure the IT infrastructure meets the business requirements by making sure the implementation of design and applications is done

Will carry out the duties of installing maintaining and supporting the ERP, way bridge systems and all the other business systems.  The candidate will make sure all the business systems are fully operational at all the time.  Will be reporting to data and business system man Nzoia sugar manager .
Main duties
  • Carry out the duties of processing and updating documentation for the main cycles.
  • Be able to carry out all the administration configurations and support of ERP systems.
  • Give first level technical support and ensure support in a mixed PC and server environment.
  • Liaise with all the external service providers to make sure all are full functional and available
  • Prepare and- hoc and repeat reports requested by all the users.
  • Support all the finance system interface and peripheral systems

The ministry seeks to recruit Information Technology Specialist
Duties and responsibilities
  • Will report to the head of Division
  • Will have overall responsibility of coordination and timely implementation of GF TB grant as the agreement
  • Come up with tracking and reporting systems for programmatic, administrative and finance activities
  • Work hand in hand with program staff to administer SR and CSOs contracts and monitor all the performances
  • Be the overall coordinator of the GFATM work plan, including quarterly  spending projects, programmatic  budgeting, carry out monthly spend review and more so monitor payments to be inline with government and global fund regulations and policies
  • Implement appropriate capacity building activities based on routine assessment in order to improve management
  • Coordinate implementation of relevant GFTAM inspector general audits
