SOS Kenya is a non governmental organization, whose main mission is to build families for children’s in need, help them shape their own future and share in the development of communities. In Kenya the organization runs five children homes in Nairobi, Eldoret, Mombasa, Meru and Kisumu. SOS provides infrastructure in terms of education and health and families strengthening programs for families living in the local communities. Currently the NGO is looking for five accountants to work under the organization.
Accountants
Location: Meru , Nairobi, Mombasa, Eldoret and Kisumu
Responsibilities
- Maintain the accounts of each primary entry at each location
- Secure all the organizational assets
- Carry out detailed accounting tasks
- Carry out effective budget control at the location
- Provide financial data at the required time
- Maintain the filling systems for financial data on soft and hard copy
- Provide timely and accurate input during the preparation of the annual budgets
Qualifications
- 3 years practical experience in a busy accounting or audit office
- Computer literate (MS Office Suit, excel, word, power point, access and outlook)
- At least one accounting software exposure to Navision dynamics will be a plus
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or economics or business administration with a minimum of certified public accountant 2
- K.C.SE with a C+ in mathematics and English
