ICAP of Columbia University is currently working in partnership with the ministry of public health and sanitation and ministry of medical service so as to strengthen HIV prevention, care and treatment services at the provincial and District health facilities. This program is part of United State initiative against HIV in Kenya. We are seeking for qualified applicants to apply for the position of a procurement and logistics manager.
Location: Nairobi
Responsibilities
- Guide and provide advice to the staff on policies related to procurement, logistics and contract issues
- Carry our all the logistic management of all the operations, thus including Vehicles, materials and personnel and ensure timely delivery of services
- Report to the finance and administration Director
- Will have the primary responsibility ensure all acquisition, supply, storage and disposal of goods and services
- Monitor all the renovations and repair works facilities supported by ICAP
- Prepare monthly procurement reports
- Ensure compliance of procurement activities with both ICAP and fund standard operations procedures
- Sourcing, coordinating, strategizing and development of supply base, providing vendor listing for the supply of goods and services
- Evaluate all the documents and prepare them as requested
- Be an intermediary between the finance, Administration and program departments to ensure integrated internal tools, timely payment of vendors and full, audited support documentation
Requirements
- familiarity with commodity management tracking system will be an add
- Good interpersonal, organizational, negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent computer know how, including Microsoft office applications and ERP systems
- Bachelor degree and diploma in purchasing and supply management
- Experience of at least 5 years in management of logistics and procurement
