Commission on revenue allocation (CRA) is independent and it’s set up under section 215 of the Kenyan constitution. The main purpose of this commission is to recommend equitable sharing of revenue raised nationally between the National and the country Government; share all the revenue among the country Government

The commission invites applications of commission secretary. The ideal person will also be the chief executive of the commission. The position involves a three years contract which is renewable on satisfactory performance. A competitive package will be offered to the successful candidate

Tasks

• Carry out all the day to day management of the commission
• Mobilize all the resources of the commission to achieve its stipulated mandate
• Prepare the commission’s annual budget and estimates
• Monitor all the financial details thus including management of the commission
• Make sure he or she runs the commission to achieve its vision and mission through the implementation of various strategies
• Make sure the commission attains high level of competitiveness and ethical standards

Essential qualifications

• A master’s degree in economics, finance or its equivalent from a well established institution
• Ten years administrative experience in a public or private institution
• Leadership skills to effectively coordinate research and consult for the commission
• Excellent knowledge of national policies and strategies which govern the provision of services, resource mobilization and social protection
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal skills and modern us of communication technologies
• Should be computer literate
• Show high professionalism, integrity and ethical standards
• Ability to grow partnership and collaborative alliances with relevant stakeholders
