Lake Basin Development Company limited is the commercial wing of Lake Basin Development Authority which is a regional development Authority mandated to carry out development within the Lake Victoria basin and its catchments regions. Currently the following positions are open for qualified applicants:
Internal Auditor
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire administration of the audit section
- Carry out annual and departmental audits plans and guidelines
- Follow up outstanding issues to ensure appropriate corrective action after external audits
- Be a member in the preparation of the budget and prepare internal audit reports
- Coordinate and organize all the audit services
- Sensitize the staff on emerging issues that is changes in law
- Develop audit techniques and procedures for finance
- Issue primary audit, queries and observations and comprehensive audits
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control and carry out spot checks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university should be the minimum
- Registered with a professional body like; ACCA, CISA, ICPAK, IFAK, CIA
- MBA- accounting 0r finance options will be an asset
- Auditing and investigative abilities
- Advance analytical skills
- Proficiency computer skills
- 3 years experience minimum
Procurement Officer
Responsibilities
- Monitor market trends and advise the management on the completive pricing
- Investigate and qualify suppliers for prequalification processes
- Review and approve purchase requisitions
- Identify suppliers and issue requests for quotations on need basis
- Coordinate and facilitate the procurement process in liaison with respective departments
- Advice on the trends of suppliers selections, issue purchase orders and follow up expedite as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
- Post graduate qualifications in purchasing and supplies will be an advantage
- Experience of at least 3 years
- Member of a professional body
- Good analytical skills
- Problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate and excellent communication skills
