Danish refugee council (DRC) is looking forward to fill the position of a regional grant officer. The candidate will support the grants team management team in ensuring high quality grants administration and compliance with both DRC and donor requirements
Location; Nairobi but will involve regular travels
Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance and update the Horn of Africa portfolio management systems;
- Follow up the entire submission of draft donor reports, and assist in the reviewing and finalization of the same;
- Help in reviewing proposals to ensure quality and compliance with the relevant guidance
- Maintain all the filing systems and ensure complete donor grant documentation
- Make sure there is a timely submission and follow up of disbursement requests as per disbursement schedules
- Consolidate monthly programme updates and quarterly reports
Qualifications
- Must have a masters degree in political/ social science, development studies related
- A plus will be to those with donor knowledge and system reporting
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication for external audience
- A person who is detailed oriented, good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Work under pressure with minimum supervision
